Diehl Motors redesign in the works

Friday, December 12, 2008

Diehl MotorsWe're currently elbows deep in a redesign and redevelopment of the Diehl Motors website.

The design itself comes from our (dot) comrades at Caspari McCormick in Wilmington, DE while the web development and implementation have been assigned to us.

Long-term, we'll also be enhancing Diehl's web presence with SEO and search marketing campaigns.

Diehl sells new cars -- Chevrolet, Toyota, Scion, and Suzuki -- as well as used cars in Pennsylvania and Maryland.

A cable bill... of Rights!

Cable Consumer Bill of RightsWe ran across an interesting proposal in the Press Release RSS feed from the Philadelphia City Controller's website -- a website we developed last Spring.

The concept behind the proposal is modeled after a similar proposal in New York City. it's one that matters to us as a company that relies heavily on a responsive internet service provider.

Of course, it also rings true to us as Philadelphians who have no choice but to pay Comcast for broadband service. Controller Alan Butkovitz is proposing a Philadelphia Cable Consumer Bill of Rights that would allow other cable companies -- particularly Verizon -- to compete in the Philly cable market.

Among other things, the bill also calls for openness and transparency, stipulating that companies provide more detailed bills that explain what percentages of money paid to them goes to the cost of content, system maintenance, administrative expenses and profits.

Hm. I wonder how much of our money Comcast spends perfecting their broadband network.

Church attracts new members online

Salem Website

Our friends at Salem United Church of Christ in Doylestown, PA asked us to design and develop a new website that would help draw new members and better present their mission to the community. When we first met with them, they had a template, frame-driven site that was outdated and cumbersome to manage.

Based on their needs, we designed a site that was accessible -- easy to read and easy to navigate -- to web users of all ages and backgrounds. We also developed a basic content management system that allows church administrators to make calendar and current event updates as well as add multimedia such as MP3 downloads of sermons and Power Point presentations.

oh, hello!

We build dynamic websites that dominate search engines, leverage social media, and increase sales.
