Damn fine printing.
Starting years ago with prints for artists, bands and bars, Fireball Printing has grown into one of the largest printers in Philadelphia.
Fireball Printing has a reputation for delivering custom, quality prints with quick turnaround. But some unexpected slowdowns emerged in the workflow. For one, their old website wasn’t very user-friendly and a lot of people were ordering over the phone because it was easier.
So our challenge was to design and build a highly usable e-commerce experience that integrated perfectly with Fireball’s internal ordering system.
Now, customers can easily place orders for anything from giant banners to books of poetry — on any device. They can upload custom art files, use coupon codes and maintain an account to place future orders.
Every project we’re involved in is a collaboration. But it’s not often that we collaborate with creative professionals on the other side of the world! On this project, we worked with art direction from Australia’s MASH — creators of the Fireball Printing logo and branding. The concepts from MASH gave us a stark, monochromatic scheme, hard lines evoking printer registration marks and off-kilter typography that totally slays.
